I’m planning on cycling parts of RV13 this summer. Looking at the photos on komoot “trail view”, the RV13 Vikafjellstunnelen bypass looks dangerous.

It seems the tunnel name is Storehaugtunnelen, not Vikafjellstunnelen.
You don’t take the bypass. It’s closed down now. Just go through the tunnel. I have rode through it a few times. Traffic is light, and the tunnel is wide and light enough. It’s a beautitful road to ride.
Thanks for the info.
I’m in contact with some locals to hear if it’s possible to bypass RV13 by using local gravel roads. There is one section that is marked as “Footpath” on opencyclemap.org. I sent an SMS to the owner of the cabin at the startpoint to hear if it’s passable by bike. https://www.komoot.com/tour/1177807533?ref=wtd&share_token=atwC4Mgz7Dc85GS3gpXCDfRppdJDOn8zvU1YUaj5xM7CSJ0Nre
According to the locals the path is not passable by bike.
There are no options but road 13 across that mountain pass. It is fine to cycle.
