Oslo
Oslo
Oslo is a fantastic city for day rides. You can travel in every direction and there are large lakes, vast forests, rural farmland, and the 9th longest fjord in Norway to explore. I have cycled all of these routes and not one will disappoint you for fresh air, freedom, and adventure. These routes are mainly paved but you’ll also find plenty of gravel options in the Oslo Region page. If you’re looking for a group to join you should check out Oslo Dawn Patrol who do early morning rides twice a week all year from Oslo. Lastly, if you’re looking for warm sunny weather, Oslo has the highest recorded hours of sunshine and average temperatures among all Norwegian cities. On a warm day, cycling down the fjord is paradise to me.
