The EuroVelo cycling network is a vast network of long-distance cycling routes spanning Europe, designed to connect the continent via safe, scenic, and well-maintained paths. Launched by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), EuroVelo comprises 17 routes traversing over 90,000 kilometres, passing through diverse landscapes, cultural landmarks, and historical sites.
Here, you will find the main Scandinavian routes, with the exception of parts of Denmark. I have modified some sections in Sweden and can not guarantee the complex accuracy of the routes. Nevertheless, this is a good starting point if you plan to cycle through other Scandinavian countries. A favourite of mine is to cycle from Oslo to Copenhagen on EV12 and then up to Frederikshavn, where a ferry can complete the loop back to Oslo. Three countries on flat coastal roads is a great introduction to Scandinavian culture and life, and it can easily be done in a week or less.
The following routes are mentioned on this map: EV1, EV3, EV7, EV10, EV11, EV12, & EV13

Cycling in Norway is in general very safe. Nevertheless, should you choose to cycle one or more of our routes you do so at your own risk. We advise that you check weather conditions along the route and look out for land/road closures. Check ferry times in advance and ensure you don’t miss the last one or you could be stranded for the night. While riding, obey all public and private land use restrictions and rules, carry proper safety and navigational equipment, and of course leave no trace.
