Sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you meant from actually Førde skipping road 5 to Florø.

The boat you are referring to is certainly very handy to skip sections of the coast.

You make a very good point regarding the Eurovelo 1 route. For a lot of people, it might be best to take the boat from Askvoll so they don’t have to cycle Road 5 or worry about the closed tunnel bypass near Førde. Thanks for pointing this out. I will add it to the route info page.
