If everything goes as planned, I’ll pass Aursjøvegen Loop by the end of August, coming from Molde, heading towards Trollheimen fjellområde. So why not take a detour on Aursjøvegen but anti-clockwise, entering the loop at Eidsvåg?
The climb at the beginning of the gravel part looks brutal (see screenshot) but the remaining part must be fun to ride in this direction.
What do you think? Is it a stupid idea? Has anyone tried it before?
I have no problem doing some hike-a-bike if necessary, and my bike will handle some serious gravel as well.
You can cycle the route either way it should not be a problem. The road is in good condition; hopefully, you won’t need to hike your bike.
Thanks, that’s great news for me 🙂 So many great places to see and routes to cycle but very little time …
