I see the alternate route for this tunnel was marked as permanently closed due to avalanche risk two months ago. Anyone aware of any changes? If not, how bad is highway 13 to cycle. We plan to be doing this area in a few days time. Appreciate any feedback, cheers!
Road 550 is pretty quiet, and that tunnel looks totally fine to cycle through. It should not be a concern to you. It’s a great road to cycle with beautiful views all the way.
Thanks so much for answering that query. And thank you so much for all your videos which inspired us to come to Norway in the first place. We have had the most amazing day cycling on E134 from haukeli to roldal. And we have had the most amazing two weeks prior to that. Ten weeks to go!
