Hello everyone,
my name is Benny, i’m from Bavaria and i’m planning a bikepacking tour in Norway at the beginning of July 2024.
First i would like to say thank you to Matthew and the Team for this great website and all the useful information.
You really did a great job 🙂
My current plan is:
Fly to Oslo, take the train to Oppdal, start the Fjord Norway route till i am in the region of Haugastol (about 900km)
then, first idea:
Ride from Haugastol via the National Cycle Route 4 back to Oslo (about 300km / two stages)
Or is it a better idea to reverse the route and ride from Oslo->Haugastol->Oppdal?
–> but i’m not sure if there would be a better option, which is even more beautiful.. therefore see second and third idea 🙂
second idea:
Ride in the region of Haugastol for 2 more days (200-300km) and return by train to Oslo.
–> But i have no idea where or how? any suggestions? 🙂
third idea:
i extend the route between Oppdal & Haugastol by another loop (2 days/200-300km)) and return by train from Haugastol to Oslo.
–> same problem as second idea.. any suggetions?
In total i would like to ride about 1100km-1200km.
With this plan I would like to ride the Rallavegen around July 7th.
There is a high risk that the path will be closed, right? :/
Thank you.
Best regards,
Benny
