Looking at the weather forecast 10 days away in Norway is like looking into a crystal ball. You will start to get an idea of the weather around 3-4 days beforehand at most. There will always be difficult weather days on the bike in the Arctic, but as Karen points out, you will find decent weather. It changes quickly and by location. When visiting the Arctic, you should bring all weather clothing to deal with all conditions. Life is about new experiences, and you will certainly get them in Lofoten. I would wait at least four days beforehand and then make a decision to change plans (if it’s extreme weather). Right now, the weather in Lofoten looks fantastic and has well-above-average temperatures. If you are coming all the way from Australia, I’d say go up and experience the beauty of it all. I’ve cycled in storms on Lofoten, and three hours later, the skies opened up, and sunshine appeared on the mountains – it was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had on a bike.
