Da jeg f\u00f8rst begynte, var det tradisjonelle oppsettet med fire vesker \u2013 en sylindrisk styreveske, en liten veske p\u00e5 overr\u00f8ret, en rammeveske og en setteskive \u2013 standarden for ethvert bikepacking-eventyr. Syklister sykler n\u00e5 lenger, pakker lettere og designer utstyrsoppsett som ville v\u00e6rt utenkelige p\u00e5 2010-tallet. Den st\u00f8rste utfordringen med \u00e5 g\u00e5 med sykkelen er \u00e5 balansere sykkelen p\u00e5 ryggen, med hendene som konstant st\u00f8tter den \u2013 en oppgave som raskt blir ubehagelig etter hvert som trykket bygger seg opp i armene. Da jeg oppdaget at det britisk-baserte selskapet Restrap hadde utviklet en l\u00f8sning p\u00e5 dette problemet, ble jeg fascinert. Norge er tross alt kanskje det ideelle stedet for denne voksende stilen innen bikepacking. Tenk deg et land med over 500 turisthytter spredt over nasjonalparkene og avsidesliggende villmarksomr\u00e5der. Mange av disse hyttene tilbyr ikke bare felles- og privat overnatting, men ogs\u00e5 mat og til og med t\u00f8rkemuligheter. Enda mer unikt er at noen av disse hyttene er tilgjengelige via grus-\/asfalterte veier som ble bygget spesielt for hyttene. Min gode norske venn Eirik har besteget alle toppene i nasjonalparken og er godt kjent med hyttene.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">I august 2023 tok Eirik kontakt med meg med et forslag om \u00e5 sykle den eneste veien som strekker seg 7 kilometer inn i parken*, og som ender ved en fjellhytte kalt Glitterheim. Denne hytta fungerer som base for turg\u00e5ere som har som m\u00e5l \u00e5 bestige Glittertind, Norges nest h\u00f8yeste fjell.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/DJI_0691-2.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><br>Men fra Glitterheim turisthytte finnes det ogs\u00e5 en rute p\u00e5 lavere h\u00f8yde som krysser en gammel isbreplat\u00e5. Etter 16 kilometer med vandring leder denne ruten til en annen turisthytte ved parkgrensen, der en vei gir en utgang. Dette virket som den perfekte nye sykle-og-b\u00e6re-utfordringen vi hadde lett etter. Jeg tok kontakt med Restrap, og de sendte oss to seler.
