Mais les vraies questions \u00e9taient\u00a0<em>o\u00f9<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0<em>quand<\/em>, et notre plan initial s'est rapidement effondr\u00e9. J'avais imagin\u00e9 camper \u00e0 la belle \u00e9toile au bord de lacs calmes comme un miroir et rouler sur un asphalte parfait et du gravier ferme, mais avant que tout cela puisse se produire, il y avait la question de l'administration. Du moins, pas pour nous. KLM a tout simplement refus\u00e9 de nous laisser r\u00e9server nos v\u00e9los comme bagages. Il n'y avait pas de solution de contournement, pas d'exception \u2013 juste un refus cat\u00e9gorique. Nous n'avons m\u00eame pas \u00e9t\u00e9 rembours\u00e9s. Au lieu de cela, nous nous sommes retrouv\u00e9s \u00e0 changer de vol pour Oslo, commen\u00e7ant notre voyage \u00e0 des centaines de kilom\u00e8tres de l\u00e0 o\u00f9 nous avions pr\u00e9vu. En bikepacking, la premi\u00e8re le\u00e7on est toujours la m\u00eame : adapte-toi ou rentre chez toi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre pr\u00e9paration, pour \u00eatre honn\u00eate, a \u00e9t\u00e9 minimale. J'avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait une randonn\u00e9e \u00e0 v\u00e9lo pendant un \u00e9t\u00e9 europ\u00e9en, mais mes deux amis en \u00e9taient \u00e0 leur toute premi\u00e8re. Non seulement leur premi\u00e8re randonn\u00e9e \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, mais ils n'avaient m\u00eame jamais pass\u00e9 une nuit dehors. Nous n'\u00e9tions pas les aventuriers \u00e9l\u00e9gants et ultra-efficaces que vous pourriez imaginer. Cela signifiait une m\u00e9t\u00e9o impr\u00e9visible, des sommets encore enneig\u00e9s et la possibilit\u00e9 de nuits glaciales. Le plan \u00e9tait simple : aller simple, d'Oslo \u00e0 Bergen. Je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les voyages sans retour ; on a l'impression de vraiment traverser un paysage plut\u00f4t que de revenir sur ses pas. \u00c0 l'origine, nous allions prendre le train jusqu'\u00e0 Kristiansand et remonter le long de la c\u00f4te, mais l'attrait des montagnes \u00e9tait trop fort. Nous savions qu'\u00e0 cette p\u00e9riode de l'ann\u00e9e, nous ne pourrions pas tout traverser \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, mais nous voulions aller aussi loin que possible. Nous avons eu de la chance avec la m\u00e9t\u00e9o \u2013 pas le genre de chance \u00e0 laquelle on peut s'attendre, et cela a color\u00e9 tout le voyage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les pr\u00e9paratifs \u00e9taient simples. \u00c0 nous trois, nous avons emport\u00e9 deux tentes (une pour une personne et une pour deux personnes), deux r\u00e9chauds et quelques rechanges de v\u00eatements chacun. Nous avons emport\u00e9 peu de choses, mais de mani\u00e8re raisonnable \u2013 jamais \u00e0 plus d'une heure de la civilisation. J'ai toujours trouv\u00e9 rassurant de rouler pr\u00e8s d'une ligne de chemin de fer, surtout quand on d\u00e9bute en bikepacking. Mes essentiels \u00e9taient simples : une tente, un matelas de sol (j'aime le style nid d'abeille car il s'attache facilement au v\u00e9lo), un r\u00e9chaud et une cartouche de gaz (facilement disponibles en Norv\u00e8ge, aussi bien en version \u00e0 visser qu'\u00e0 clipser), une cache-col pour le vent, des couches chaudes pour les nuits froides et un masque pour les yeux car m\u00eame d\u00e9but mai, il fait jour jusqu'\u00e0 presque minuit et \u00e0 nouveau d\u00e8s trois heures du matin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_9537-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33159\"\/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous roulions tous sur des v\u00e9los de route d'\u00e2ges et de sp\u00e9cifications vari\u00e9s \u2013 pas de montures de gravel \u00e0 5 000 \u00a3 ici. Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 quelques routes de gravel en cours de route, mais rien que les v\u00e9los ne pouvaient pas g\u00e9rer. En v\u00e9rit\u00e9, c'\u00e9tait l'itin\u00e9raire du bikepacker prudent. Nous n'avons eu aucune panne m\u00e9canique, bien que la chance ait probablement jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le l\u00e0 aussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#x27;itin\u00e9raire suit en partie le parcours Oslo-Bergen de Cycle Norway et une partie de la piste cyclable nationale n\u00b0 6. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 trac\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re assez approximative et visait simplement \u00e0 passer par les villes situ\u00e9es le long du chemin en suivant les panneaux de signalisation. La meilleure fa\u00e7on de faire le trajet Oslo-Bergen \u00e0 v\u00e9lo est de suivre les itin\u00e9raires \u00e9prouv\u00e9s que vous trouverez sur ce site. Nous aurions peut-\u00eatre pu mieux nous organiser, mais d\u00e9but mai, la circulation est fluide, ce qui nous a donn\u00e9 une certaine marge de man\u0153uvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/fr\/routes\/oslo-bergen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Oslo \u2013 Bergen Routes <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/fr\/routes\/national-cycle-routes\/route-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Voie Verte Nationale 6<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous avons pris un court trajet en train de l'a\u00e9roport d'Oslo \u00e0 Drammen. L'application Vy a rendu l'achat des billets tr\u00e8s simple, il suffit de ne pas oublier d'en acheter un pour votre v\u00e9lo \u00e9galement. Ce soir-l\u00e0, nous avons camp\u00e9 sauvage sur une petite \u00eele dans la rivi\u00e8re. Des gens sont pass\u00e9s avec leurs chiens, mais personne ne semblait s'en soucier. Le soleil avait \u00e9t\u00e9 chaud, l'air dor\u00e9. Puis l'obscurit\u00e9 est tomb\u00e9e et la temp\u00e9rature s'est effondr\u00e9e. Nos sacs de couchage n'\u00e9taient pas con\u00e7us pour 2 \u00e0 5 degr\u00e9s, et les couches n'ont pas aid\u00e9. Nous n'avons pas \u00e9t\u00e9 press\u00e9s \u2013 nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s pour des collations, des photos et pour nous r\u00e9chauffer au soleil. Nous avons demand\u00e9 \u00e0 un local o\u00f9 nous pourrions camper ce soir-l\u00e0 et on nous a dit, vaguement, de \u201ccamper pr\u00e8s de l'\u00e9glise\u201d. Cette suggestion a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 l'un des moments les plus chaleureux du voyage. Le soir venu, le pasteur lui-m\u00eame nous a accueillis, nous \u00e9pargnant une autre nuit glaciale sous tente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depuis Rollag, la vall\u00e9e a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s'\u00e9lever. Ce fut une ascension d'une journ\u00e9e enti\u00e8re mais jamais trop raide \u2013 juste une mont\u00e9e constante. Nous avons quitt\u00e9 et r\u00e9int\u00e9gr\u00e9 la route principale, suivant des routes secondaires qui nous ont fait passer devant des fermes tranquilles et de petits lacs. L'asphalte est rest\u00e9 lisse et, lorsque le vent s'est calm\u00e9, nous pouvions rouler \u00e0 trois de front et bavarder. Mais en passant les barrages, un vent de face glacial nous a frapp\u00e9s, assez fort pour interrompre la conversation. Cette nuit-l\u00e0, nous avons c\u00e9d\u00e9 au froid et avons r\u00e9serv\u00e9 une cabine. Des sommets enneig\u00e9s apparurent \u00e0 l'horizon, sertis contre un ciel parfait. Des chemins de gravier nous men\u00e8rent dans de longues descentes fluides o\u00f9 la route se d\u00e9roulait sous nous, l'air devenant plus froid \u00e0 mesure que nous descendions. Deux fois, nous avons eu de larges descentes vers Geilo, chacune encadr\u00e9e par des montagnes qui semblaient assez proches pour \u00eatre touch\u00e9es. D\u00e9but mai, ce n'est pas le moment de traverser le plateau Hardangervidda, \u00e0 moins d'aimer les cong\u00e8res de neige et les vents glacials. Par la fen\u00eatre, nous avons vu des rivi\u00e8res gel\u00e9es, des lacs encore fig\u00e9s bord\u00e9s de glace, et de vastes \u00e9tendues blanches s'\u00e9tirant jusqu'\u00e0 l'horizon. Descendre vers Arna a donn\u00e9 l'impression de glisser dans une autre saison. Le fjord \u00e9tait plat et argent\u00e9, l'air lourd de sel. Nous avons suivi un chemin agricole jusqu'\u00e0 un banc cach\u00e9 juste au bord de l'eau, avec un plongeoir pour les intr\u00e9pides \u2013 aucun de nous n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 tent\u00e9. Nous avons rejoint la route EuroVelo 1, bien indiqu\u00e9e et facile \u00e0 suivre. Les ponts sont des prouesses d'ing\u00e9nierie, arqu\u00e9s au-dessus de profonds canaux bleus, chacun avec une piste cyclable s\u00e9par\u00e9e. Les routes entre eux supportaient plus de trafic que nous en avions l'habitude, mais les vues en valaient la peine. Nous avons cherch\u00e9 des endroits pour camper sauvagement, mais la plupart \u00e9taient surveill\u00e9s par des maisons ou trop expos\u00e9s, alors nous avons opt\u00e9 pour un camping. Il y avait des douches chaudes, une cuisine et un espace commun chaleureux o\u00f9 nous pouvions nous attarder apr\u00e8s le coucher du soleil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape a \u00e9t\u00e9 la courte balade jusqu'\u00e0 Bergen. La ville poss\u00e8de d'excellents itin\u00e9raires cyclables, surtout si l'on vient du sud, et nous avons pris notre temps. Au magasin Trek, nous avons r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 des bo\u00eetes \u00e0 v\u00e9los que nous avions r\u00e9serv\u00e9es plus t\u00f4t dans la semaine. Le personnel nous a m\u00eame expliqu\u00e9 comment les ramener \u00e0 notre auberge en bus, une autre petite gentillesse dans une semaine remplie de celles-ci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_9708-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_9708-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_9708-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_9708.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec le recul, le voyage fut un m\u00e9lange de contrastes : soleil br\u00fblant \u00e0 midi, nuits glaciales qui transper\u00e7aient notre \u00e9quipement ; routes d\u00e9sertes \u00e0 travers des for\u00eats silencieuses, et le rugissement du vent sur les barrages ; la gentillesse des inconnus, et de longues mont\u00e9es solitaires. Si vous y allez, couvrez-vous bien, surtout la nuit. Ne vous souciez pas d'avoir le v\u00e9lo parfait ; le n\u00f4tre \u00e9tait loin de l'\u00eatre, et ils ont fait l'affaire. Planifiez votre itin\u00e9raire, mais ne vous y accrochez pas. Faites confiance aux panneaux. N'ayez pas peur de prendre le train ; en Norv\u00e8ge, ce n'est pas tricher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le bikepacking ici, ce n'est pas seulement une question de distance ou de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9. C'est l'odeur des pins par un matin calme, la fa\u00e7on dont la lumi\u00e8re dure presque jusqu'\u00e0 minuit, la satisfaction tranquille d'arriver dans une nouvelle ville avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin attach\u00e9 \u00e0 votre v\u00e9lo.
