Assez longtemps pour savoir qu'\u00e9chapper \u00e0 la ville \u00e0 v\u00e9lo implique g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un m\u00e9lange frustrant de tarmac, de feux de circulation, de carrefours maladroits et de panneaux cyclables qui semblent con\u00e7us pour vous perdre. J'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00eater plus d'attention aux chemins de gravier qui bordent la ville. La plupart des cyclistes connaissent ceux qui m\u00e8nent au c\u0153ur de Nordmarka, la vaste for\u00eat du nord qui est depuis longtemps le poumon vert d'Oslo. Mais je ne regardais pas vers le nord. Ce qui fut autrefois une route d'approvisionnement est aujourd'hui un chemin de gravier s'\u00e9tendant sur quelque 20 kilom\u00e8tres, serpentant \u00e0 travers des bois anciens et des terres agricoles ouvertes, \u00e9pargn\u00e9 par la circulation. Il ne crie pas pour attirer l'attention. Ce n'est pas juste un sentier de randonn\u00e9e ou une boucle agr\u00e9able du dimanche. C'est une autoroute secr\u00e8te en gravier qui vous permet de filer vers l'ouest hors d'Oslo, sans pratiquement aucune trace de la ville \u00e0 vos trousses. L'itin\u00e9raire commence au nord, fr\u00f4lant la limite de la ville, avant de descendre tranquillement vers Sandvika, une banlieue en bordure ouest d'Oslo. De l\u00e0, vous vous faufilez \u00e0 travers un court tron\u00e7on d'asphalte et de p\u00e9riurbain jusqu'\u00e0 ce que le bruit disparaisse \u00e0 nouveau, remplac\u00e9 par le chant des oiseaux et le crissement des pneus alors que vous entrez dans la for\u00eat de Vestmarka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250516_174709.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31547\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250516_174709.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250516_174709-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250516_174709-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vestmarka est plus sauvage et moins cl\u00e9mente que Nordmarka. Elle compte moins de chemins de gravier, et si vous ne planifiez pas correctement votre itin\u00e9raire, vous vous retrouverez rapidement face \u00e0 un cul-de-sac. Mais cette difficult\u00e9 apporte la solitude. Ce n'est pas un endroit o\u00f9 les gens tombent par hasard. Une fois \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur, c'est \u00e0 vous et \u00e0 vous seul. \u00c0 cinq kilom\u00e8tres d'Oslo et pourtant vous \u00eates au c\u0153ur d'une for\u00eat nordique, seul et vivant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 Vestmarka, la terre s'ouvre. C'est l\u00e0 que l'on s'installe. Le rythme change. Vous passerez des lacs paisibles, des pins denses, un cycliste \u00e9lectrique occasionnel, et certains des meilleurs sites de camping sauvage du sud de la Norv\u00e8ge. C'est \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, peut-\u00eatre apr\u00e8s 90 minutes et 40 kilom\u00e8tres, que cela vous frappe : vous avez laiss\u00e9 Oslo derri\u00e8re vous. Mais si vous suivez Cycle Norway, il y a une autre option. Vous continuez. Dans les for\u00eats profondes. Sur des sentiers sans nom. Vers le comt\u00e9 de Telemark, o\u00f9 le gravier devient plus rugueux et le silence plus assourdissant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Norv\u00e8ge pourrait bien \u00eatre la capitale mondiale du gravier.
