Each one is packed with a single thing: cycling footage. More specifically, years of footage from every corner of Norway, captured in every imaginable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sifting through this digital archive is no small task. Finding a specific moment\u2014like the time a moose sprinted across the road near R\u00f8ros in 2021\u2014can take 30 minutes or more. Was it on the red drive? No. Maybe the light grey one? After a few moments of frustration, I remember moving it six months ago. This is my reality when working with over 30 terabytes of footage accumulated over five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fara-seb-mamaj_70.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fara-seb-mamaj_70.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fara-seb-mamaj_70-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/fara-seb-mamaj_70-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A <em>shoot with Fara Cycling back in 2021<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But this chaos has its rewards. The real magic happens when all those moments come together to form a story that has never been told before. No other cycling organization\u2014perhaps anywhere in the world\u2014has documented two-wheeled travel in Norway at this scale. Even with unlimited resources, replicating this collection would take years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some locations demanded multiple visits to get the perfect shot. Aursj\u00f8vegen, for example, took several attempts before I finally captured it in all its essence. Other places, like Hj\u00f8rundfjorden, gifted me an almost mythical atmosphere\u2014low-hanging clouds rolling over dark waters at just the right moment. No amount of planning or money can guarantee shots like these. Sometimes, it\u2019s about being in the right place at the right time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><div class=\"theme-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclenorway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240604_084854-copy-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Road Openings Norway\" class=\"wp-image-23437\"\/><\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The right place at the right time is essential to capturing snow walls.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All of this dedication, patience, and sheer persistence culminated in our new promotional video. In under eight minutes, we take you through 47 locations, each one carefully chosen to showcase Norway\u2019s unparalleled cycling landscapes. The editing process was ruthless. Some of the most stunning footage\u2014Senja\u2019s dramatic coastline, Nordkapp\u2019s otherworldly cliffs, Telemark\u2019s deep forests\u2014had to be left out because they didn\u2019t serve the story we were telling. Cycle Norway exists to highlight the incredible opportunities available to cyclists in this country, while also providing the crucial services needed to make these journeys possible. Planning, organization, and flexibility are the keys to enjoying a successful cycling holiday in Norway, and our video, we hope, delivers that message clearly. We are always developing new resources, improving our platform, and expanding our network to support cyclists better. The work doesn\u2019t stop with this video. In fact, this is just the beginning. The future holds even more\u2014more routes, more insights, and more ways to help cyclists explore Norway in ways they never thought possible.
