Generally, most of the country is running as usual, especially in the North, the South & West coasts. In the map below, you will see the area’s worst hit. In these areas, a little extra preparation before setting off is advised!<\/span><\/p>\n
What are the conditions of the famous gravel roads?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
Feedback from cyclists last week informed us many gravel areas, including Rallarvegen, are fine to cycle. But, like with any bike adventure, do your own research before setting off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

- Check your route with the\u00a0<\/span>Traffic and road map<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and ensure none of it is closed.<\/span><\/li>\n
- If you plan to use public transport, check that it is\u00a0<\/span>running<\/span><\/a>, and you can take a bike.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Limit wild camping to places you are certain are safe. Camping in a deep valley where landslides are a risk is not advised!<\/span><\/li>\n
- Always check the\u00a0<\/span>weather forecast<\/span><\/a>\u00a0before setting off. If you experience unsafe weather, try to find shelter and sit it out.<\/span><\/li>\n
- If unsure about a situation, speak with locals in the areas you pass.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Lastly, ensure you have the right clothing and gear to handle your experience in nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
