No matter how experienced you are, it is difficult to fully prepare for the sudden noise, changing light conditions, poor air quality, echoing traffic, and vehicles passing at speeds of up to 80 km\/h. For many visiting cyclists, tunnels are the part of Norway they worry about most before arriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reality, however, is more balanced than many people expect. On most long-distance cycling routes in Norway, tunnels are simply part of the landscape and transport network.
