Our signature pilot tour for 2023/24 offers the ultimate wow factor scenery in an exceptional area of Norway. Of all the beauty in this country, this is the apex. Indeed, UNESCO has deemed this area of special importance for its outstanding natural beauty. Every day is filled with breathtaking views that will leave you with lasting unforgettable memories. Spectacular deep fjords, barren and wild mountain passes, lush green glacier-carved valleys, and crystal clear rivers, lakes, and waterfalls surround every corner.
However, all of this beauty is not given. There are several steep climbs including the world-famous Trollstigen (7.6% average gradient). We recommend an e-bike for those unsure of their capabilities. If you want to balance cycling with other activities there is plenty to explore. Famous hiking routes, kayaking on a fjord, or perhaps have a go at Via Ferrata with an enchanting deep long fjord as your backdrop. This really is the ultimate Norwegian holiday and cycling experience.

Bringing a bike on holiday can be a hassle and you’re never 100% sure if it will arrive! At the same time, a rental bike may not live up to your standards. This is why we have teamed up with a high-end rental company that offers top-of-the-range carbon frame road, gravel, and battery optimal e-bikes that offer comfort, speed, and reliability. We can even add bikepacking-style bags to certain bikes should you wish to carry your own gear. Helmets and a small puncture repair kit are included in the price. You are welcome to bring your own pedals to fit your shoe cleat requirements. Flat pedals can be attached for those using casual shoes.
We believe your accommodation should enhance your experience here in Norway. This country is full of historic, unique, and stunning eco-friendly hotels that blend and fit with the natural environment. Norway is even building the world’s first energy-positive hotel! Cycling in Norway will be tough at times. However, the reward of a cold local beer and a three-course meal is a wonderful way to relax and be rewarded for your day’s achievements. Moreover, some of our hotels will have spas to unwind in and the opportunity to book a relaxing massage to relieve your sore muscles. Other hotels will invite guests to step back in time as traditional and modern elements blend seamlessly together. There is no better way to appreciate a beautiful hotel experience than after a day in the saddle. Riding gives you the satisfaction that you deserve it!
For those that want to keep their bikes light and responsive to tackle Norway’s famous hills and mountains. We can offer to have your bags delivered to and from each hotel adding ultimate convenience and peace of mind. It lets you focus solely on the ride without the weight slowing you down. This service is highly recommended for groups where costs can be shared.
What I love about cycling is that feeling of enjoying a delicious meal in the evening knowing you deserve it! After many hours of physical exercise burning calories and raising your heart rate. A hearty meal served at your convenience is the most satisfying way to end your day. It also sets you up for the next day’s ride. All our packages include a buffet-style breakfast, a packed lunch, and an evening meal. You will be well fed so you have the energy to take all the challenges Norway throws at you!
For the ultimate experience, we can provide you with an experienced guide with local knowledge and understanding. They will lead the way, guiding you through this incredible country. No wrong turns, no searching for booking numbers on your phone, and no conversations lost in translation. You will get an up-close experience of Norwegian culture and traditions. Ask questions and hear stories from the past and present as you cycle through the valleys, mountains, and farmland. An experienced guide will add that special touch to your trip that can make all the difference.
Last year Cycle Norway planned a route beyond anything I could produce myself. Their knowledge and experience are worth investing in! I look forward to returning this year and confidently exploring other areas beyond my knowledge.

Norway has been on our list for many years. But compared with other European destinations we have struggled to find a company that offers the services we require. Cycle Norway has arrived at the right time and moment. Having promised ourselves that we would travel more after the pandemic, our Norway dream has finally become a reality. Thank you!
